Nutfield produced a brilliant of passing football
to defeat Three Bridges. Nutfield took the lead early in the first half when
Luke Bellars beat the last defender and blasted in a left foot shot. The
remainder of the first half was a tight affair with both goalkeepers being
called upon. Nutfield scored their second after swift one touch football
produced a second goal for Luke Bellars at the far post. Josh Taylor rifled in
the third goal after a fine save from the Three Bridges keeper. Josh Taylor
completed the scoring with a fine penalty after a defender was harshly
adjudged to have handled in the penalty area.

Nutfield 2 Maidenbower

Nutfield again turned in an impressive display
against a good Maidenbower team. Nutfield were two - nil up at half time
through two goals from Josh Taylor, The first was adjudged to have crossed the
line before a defenders brave clearance. Taylor's second goal followed a good
passing move, which he finished with a low shot into the net. The second half
produced few chances but Nutfield sometimes had to defend in depth.

This turned out to be a well fought game between
two unbeaten teams. Nutfield began stronger and took the lead through Luke
Bellars. Furngate soon began to get back into the game and equalised when the
unlucky Nutfield goalkeeper was adjudged to have carried the ball over the
line after saving a strong Furngate shot. The game carried on with end to end
goal action but finished in a fair result.

Nutfield won this hard fought match through
gritted determination. This match turned out to be their toughest yet. They
were missing their regular goalkeeper Chris Thompson and Samuel Belcher
deputised and put in a very sound performance. Nutfield found thereselves 1-0
down from a vicious shot into the roof of the net from the edge of the area.
They soon equalized through Ben Davies but again went behind after a mistake
from the goalkeeper. Nutfield equalized shortly before half time through Josh
Taylor. Nutfield produced a stirring second half display with flowing passing
football and soon built up a two goal lead with two goals from Luke Bellars.
Samuel Belcher produced a great near post save to deny Horley from getting
into the match. Luke Bellars was denied his hat-trick when he hit the crossbar
from close range.

Nutfield 4 Ifield
Cobras B 0 03.Nov.02
Nutfield and Ifield competed in a close match
although the excellent finishing from Nutfield produced an assured win.
Nutfield found thereselves three goals to the good at half time with two goals
from Sam Ford and one from Luke Bellars. Nutfield changed their team around in
the second half with Samuel Belcher going in goal and Chris Thompson taking up
the central midfield role. Douglas came on and nearly scored but was stopped
by good defending from Ifield. Ben Davies produced another assured performance
and set up Luke Bellars for a cool finish for the fourth. Scott Southby had a
commanding defensive performance. Special praise must go to the whole squad
for their hard work in training and matches.

Ifield Cobras B 0 27.Oct.02
Nutfield produced another exciting attacking
performance and produced a high scoring win. Nutfield found themselves 4 - 0
up at half time and proceeded to produce a stirring second half performance
with 6 further goals. Two hat-tricks from the returning from injury Sam Ford
and the back to his best Luke Bellars, a cracking half volley from Samuel
Belcher, two pressuring goals from the influential Josh Taylor and one from
the ever improving Ben Davies. A mention must also go out to another solid
display from Scott Southby and goalkeeper Chris Thomson, whose concentration
and determination can never be faulted. Another superb midfield performance
and hard working forward play.

Crawley Down Blues 0 20.Oct.02
Nutfield again played some exciting passing
football with some effort from the whole squad. They were 3-0 up at half time
after some good pressing play by the hard working Luke Bellars forced an
unlucky Crawley Down defender into heading past his goalkeeper for the first.
Two further goals followed from the ever
impressive midfield pairing of Josh Taylor and Ben Davies. Nutfield made
changes in the second half and still played commanding football and were
rewarded with two more goals from Taylor and Davies. Ben Davies scored with a
volley, direct from a Josh Taylor corner.

Youth 5 Ifield Cobras 0 29.Sept.02
Nutfield
produced a very convincing display against a gallant Ifield side. After missing
three easier chances, Nutfield took the lead with a well worked throw in routine
which was finished by Samuel Belcher who chipped the goalkeeper from close
range. Nutfield soon took control and added three more goals before half time
with Luke Bellars scoring from close range after some more good work from
Belcher and Ben Davies. Josh Taylor finished off a good move for the third and
Ben Davies scored the fourth with a spectacular effort from 15 yards. Ifield
were more organized in the second half and Nutfield keeper Chris Thompson saved
well on two occasions. Nutfield scored their fifth goal from a well struck
Taylor shot early in the half. It was a solid display by all.

Youth 2 Crawley Down Reds 1 22.Sept.02
Nutfield
opened their season with a hard fought win against a hard working Crawley Down.
Nutfield took the lead when Luke Bellars ran onto a pass from Ben Davies and
coolly volleyed past the goalkeeper. Poor defensive play allowed Crawley to
equalize but Nutfield scored their winner just before half time when Josh Taylor
scored a direct free - kick. Taylor also hit the bar from a long run. A good
impressive display from the whole team.
